N.T. Wright (or Tom Wright as he is also known as) is not the emerging church and not a leader in it,but it seems clear that some of his teachings and books have had a strong influence on the thinking of the emerging church.He has alot of interesting things to say, I mean by that views that are often different from the main stream of evangelical christian thought. Because of this he has been strongly criticized by leaders like John Piper to mention one. He has written many books referred to by emerging people like Rob Bell to mention one.
