Saw it the other night with Johannna and was captured by the intesity of the actors in this movie.Espesially Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprios characters. It is brutal,intense and bloody but Martin Scorsese is back again on the silver screen with good entertainment and that makes me happy! Jim Wallis writes in his blog in the sojourners “President Bush said the following to an audience in Texas (one of the few places who still wanted him to visit) that “the terrorists win and America loses” if the Democrats won this election.Wallis goes on to say “His problem is that more and more Americans think statements like

that are ridiculous. And that Bush’s continual assertions about winning the war in Iraq (despite the obvious facts) are also ridiculous, and that the opposite is now true—that America is losing around the world and the terrorists are winning BECAUSE of George Bush’s complete disaster in Iraq.”

Iraq is one of the biggest reasons that the Republicans lost the elections yesterday. The unique combination of arrogance and incompetence Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney are proudly going full speed ahead in their deadly war in Iraq, despite the growing opposition from all sides of the political spectrum and even from the military.

It must now be said that George Bush and his partners in the crime of Iraq are unnecessarily killing lots of people—both Americans and Iraqis—with no plan to stop the killing. So they must now be stopped. And that will be the consequence of this election I hope.

It’s the reason that both Republican and Democratic candidates are promising to find new ways of trying to resolve the war in Iraq rather than simply repeating, “stay the course.” The Bush/Rumsfeld/Cheney course must now be stopped. As a consequence to this election Iraq must be the first item on the agenda of the next Congress.”

I am happy that Americans have chosen to turn around after there fatal mistake in voting in president Bush for a second term. It was sad it happened the first time! It shows me that alot of my fellow world citizens are changing there minds about the Godliness and goodness of the Bush Administration.

Who will be the next sacrifice after Rumsfield got kicked out today? (The biggest sacrifice have been the innocents in Iraq)

I went to a fantastic George Michael concert here in Gothenburg a couple weeks back. I have a been a fan since his “Older” album. I heard it first on my visit to Hong Kong and China in 1996.So it reminds me alot of the time in my life.

He seemed to like the album as most of his songs this evening were from “Older”. One of the highlights was his Jesus to a child (also of the album “Older”),he started by saying “for Feleppa”. I remembered the story and wanted to look into it some more..here you have a bit of the background to the song:

The song was a melancholy tribute to George’s Brazilian friend and lover Anselmo Feleppa.

The two had met when George was performing in Brazil in 1991, and Feleppa died two years later from an AIDS-related brain haemorrhage. George had been unable to write for the next 18 months as a consequence of his grief, but then penned the words to Jesus To A Child in little more than an hour,

indicating that the time was right to move on with his life.
